every day i feel driven insane by the self assured incurious cruelty of liberal americans lmao. is killing literally 1/3 of a countrys population with carpet bombing somehow a good war? a huge portion of american society is completely incapable of perceiving the rest of the worlds population as human in the same way as them
Not to excuse liberals but it's because we don't ever learn anything about it. Literally every class on American history that touched on wars after WWII I've ever had skipped straight from WWII to Vietnam. At most Korea got a couple lines. Any details have been fully memory holed.
im so tired of this self infantilizing attitude at a certain point people need to admit that theyre choosing to be, as i said, incurious. i decided to read about imperialism and educate myself on it and the information is readily available, anyone with an internet connection in america could do the same if they were curious about history. people just decide to ignore everything around them
sorry for adding to ashr202's point lol but i tried looking up more information real quick and Wikipedia is also very vague and brief on details
^ using this page, here are some of the different sections where I'd hope to understand more
not really helpful!! instead of being all huffy about it and blindly pointing people at the Internet, it would be 1000x more productive if you just plug a good source people can learn from. most people don't just go read up on history and wars for fun!! give them something to read!!
buddy i don't even have time to read everything i WANT to read, just share a resource since you know what's up and keep it moving
youre 28 years old, capable of looking something up online, and you cant find a single other source than wikipedia
